How it works

Six steps to worry-free work.

Liability insurance isn't a form to fill in – it's a sizing exercise: we tailor it to your activity, your contracts and your real risks. Here's what working together looks like – from the first conversation to the anniversary.

Activity assessment

20 minutes by phone or video call: exactly what you do, who you work for, whether you use subcontractors, and whether there's a written client or chamber requirement. Free, with no obligation.

Cover sizing

The key figure is the limit: up to how large a claim the insurer should stand behind you. We size it to your contract portfolio, the value of your projects and possible chains of loss – together with the deductible and retroactive-date questions.

Offer comparison table

I request offers from the relevant insurers and hand them over in a clear table: limit, deductible, exclusions, retroactive date, premium – with strengths and weaknesses. The decision is yours.

Taking out the policy, and the certificate

The offer you choose becomes a policy: I prepare the paperwork, and if your client asks for a certificate of insurance, I request it from the insurer; the turnaround time for issuing it depends on the insurer.

Claims

For a claim, the fastest way to report it is the insurer's claims line or online portal. If a case gets stuck or becomes disputed, I help you, where I can, as broker – our checklists help with documentation.

Annual review

If you let me know before the renewal date, I review: has revenue grown, has your activity changed, are the limits still right. When switching insurer, cover continuity – carrying over the retroactive date – is the guiding principle.

Steps 1–4 typically take 1–2 weeks; claims and the annual review aren't an “extra service” – they're part of the work, which is why the relationship doesn't end once the policy is signed.

What's worth preparing in advance?

It speeds things up a lot if, for the first conversation, you dig out: your current policy (if you have one), one or two typical client contracts or requirement lists, and a list of your activities. The full list is in the quote-request data list – and the activity assessment article shows why these are needed.

Let's start at the beginning: book a 20-minute free consultation → By the end of the call, you'll know exactly what the next step is – even if you end up not taking out anything.

Let's discuss in 20 minutes what protects your trade.

Free of charge, no obligation – at the end, you'll see exactly your options and the next step.
